Dry Blasting

“Southampton Vapourblast Services” is a sister company to Ted’s Shed and shares the same premises.

Dry blasting is the process by which an abrasive media (aluminium oxide) is accelerated through a blasting nozzle by means of compressed air contained within a sealed cabinet, its primary use is to clean components soiled by dirt and the removal of paint etc.

Components having been cleaned by this process will have a dull or matt surface finish, (please see the images below). We are able to control the surface finish by way of using media of various grades, a dry blast surface is preferential for further application of paints or wet coatings and provides perfect preparation for wet or vapour blasting.

PLEASE NOTE ALL COMPONENTS MUST BE FREE FROM OIL AND GREASE PRIOR TO DRY BLASTING.
